Blossom
Few things are as synonymous with the Japanese garden as the cherry blossom tree, or sakura. In the spring our trees turn pink with the most wonderful blossom you’ve ever seen.
Once the time comes for the blossom to fall, it rains down on our visitors, as if it were pink snow, coating the ground in a beautiful blanket. It makes for excellent viewing, and for wonderful photographs, if you are a social media influencer!
However, if you don’t like blossom, you should visit the gardens in any season other than spring.
Did you know that many schools and public buildings have sakura trees outside them? This is because both the financial and school years begin in April, so the first day of work or school coincides with the cherry blossom season. This means that anyone who doesn’t like school or work hates cherry blossom trees.
